Sorry for lack of blogging lately! In the past month, I've worked on and put up Cloud Nine at school, went home for .2 seconds for Spring Break, got a haircut, pet-sat a puppy, visited family in Jersey, threw an Easter bash at my apt for cast & crew, drank more alcohol than I care to admit, had my roommate drown my laptop in rain water, miraculously dry out my laptop and have it make a full recovery, attempted to find a job in NYC and VA, and get offered an Assistant Directing/Understudying gig with my favorite director lady til June on an Equity Showcase production (HOLLA), acquired some strange shoulder injury that makes my right arm almost immobile, and done almost ZERO SCHOOL WORK! :D
Like I said...busy! :)
But I am back now and wanting to keep up with my bloggity-blog! Summer is fast approaching and I'm trying to figure out my life, as usual!
Here is a cute picture to end this post: Me with my baby cousin, Eliana

Philosophical at 3am
Why wouldn't I have these thought-provoking musings at 3am during Midterm week and the week I need to be memorizing my many many long monologues in Cloud Nine...
Do you ever just get the feeling that you want to be older, not like super old, but older? Just want to skip the bullshit and see what life looks like when you're settled and happy?
We did this exercise in rehearsal last evening where, since the characters progress 25 years, we all imagined what our lives would look like in 25 years! (Of course, these were a very kind 25 years where I wound up somehow with a successful acting career, a nice apartment in NYC and a house on the Almafi Coast where I had steamy love affairs with sexy Italian men, and I had a cute puppy!) We all shared our ideas and where we would all be in our mid-40's. It was definitely interesting!
I know it's because I'm an anxious 20-something in college, but I kind of just want to skip the bullshit and just be in that non-turmoil state (if I'm lucky enough to not be tumultous in my mid-40s).
I just think it would be interesting!
*End random existential musing*
EDIT: I found my puppy! :)

And so it begins...
This past Wednesday and Thursday, we (my fabulous crew and myself) held auditions for The Vagina Monologues at my school. I'm the director (yay!) and it will be performed in our GINORMOUS, Off-Broadway theater!! I feel like I'm one of the only students to direct something in that space, which is super exciting!
Casting the show was probably one of the more challenging things I've ever had to do. SOOO many women auditioned (like 80, no joke, for a cast of 20), and I wish I could have cast them all, because they were so talented, but I'm super excited about the cast we picked! :)
Our readthrough is tomorrow, which I'm psyched about! Can't wait to get all of the girls in one room! I'm all about ensemble shows and cast bonding! :)
And what's even more exciting, is that we have our Cloud Nine read on WEDNESDAY!! I am SOOO EXCITED to start that show and work with Annie G(od) Levy herself!! Hahahahaha! My roomie is in the show as well, so I'll definitely have a subway buddy after late-night rehearsals! ;)
Basically...cannot wait for theater life to begin this semester!! It's gonna be GOOD! :D
